HOSA News app for iPhone and iPad

HOSA NEWS is your source of Afghan government news on your iPhone or iPad. Featuring news from the President’s Office and more than 25 ministries and government agencies, the app will keep you updated with news, announcements and official releases from government. News is available in real time and in Dari, Pashto and English.

Key features of the app are:
- Pick news from specific government agencies or ministries, or view a list of all the latest news from government on the main screen.

- Choose your preferred language in the language selector - Dari, Pashto or English. The app will remember your preferred language for future use.

- Receive push notifications with breaking news from government. From time to time, we will send you notifications concerning major announcements or events related to government.

- Read news even if you are offline. No 3G or WiFi coverage where you are? No problem - HOSA News stores the latest news directly on your phone, allowing you to read the news at any time.


HOSA is Afghanistan’s mobile governance (mGov) program. Offered by Ministry of Communications and IT, HOSA provides a platform for all government ministries, agencies and provincial and district offices to launch mobile applications on SMS, IVR (voice calls), USSD and for smartphones quickly, and with the strong support and set of resources provided by MCIT and its implementing partners. The HOSA platform, when fully launched, will be integrated directly with all Afghan mobile operators. Currently, more than 30 mGov applications are planned for launch on the platform.
